Deleting Characters FUUUUUUUUUU~

I'm trying to make a Death Knight, and I'm trying to leave a slot for a Cataclysm character... most likely a Goblin. Chances are it'll cost me 40 bucks extra in the long run to ditch two characters off my server to make room for the two other characters. Bummer. On the bright side, I can have high level characters on servers some of my friends play on. But, it's a small bright side considering I doubt I'll play them a lot.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Moctara?
Note: I've even retrofitted my Bank alt into a playable character by getting my own personal Guild Bank by throwing together a guild.

The priest I never could level up, and from what im seeing of it ingame its not a path im likely to take by virtue of gamestyle.
The mage I finally deleted, it was really not matching my expectations (BOOORIIIINNNNGGGG), and since I got a warlock the next caster class wont get a slot again for sure....
So that leaves me with 2 slots.... atm one is a bank alt, my only issues are that Caidh has the leadership of that bank alt guild and that we cant really use it properly by lack of permissions. Maybe I should put in a petition to have him replaced... but Ovatha would have to do it, because hes second in ranks in that alt guild. Ill talk to him about it.
Though that bank alt... if ever we can get an active GM there for setting permissions straight and be able to invite... could be replaced by another of my 70+ since some of them dont really play the game of "lets chase more gear". Most are used for different crafting and gathering professions.
So I can have 2 slots although I only have one currently. Maybe ill get a Goblin, maybe not, I am really out of classes to really try.

I know they are doing shit like...
Dwarf Shaman (i like this)
Tauren Paladin (kinda cool)
Goblin Mage (sorta cool)
I have several character slots that I could potentially delete and restart. I will prob. just make a Race change, if it matters that much to me.
I have a Pally, swap to Tauren.
Undead Mage, swap to Goblin.
My DK is Undead, might swap to Orc (hell, could do it now)
I've always hated playing Alliance, though I might TRY Worgen on another server -- since all my Argent Dawn character slots are currently taken with Horde. Though, I imagine I would only make it to level 30-ish before I gave up.
Other than that, I don't care much. Without a new class to play having new races don't make a fuck. I think it's absolutely stupid to release an expansion with 2 new races and the same old classes. Ohhhh, ahhhh, so fucking what?
Give us an interesting not so fucking over powered class to play already. DK was horrible because of the OP nature of it. Like Goblins and Worgens show up and they have no other classes among their kind to bring to the table? Simply make 1 new class that is Goblin/Worgen only.

That would've been nice. The reason I won't be race changing my Gnome Warlock to a Goblin, is that 50% of the reason I want a Goblin is to play through levels 1 - 60 and see all the "changed world" content from a lowbie perspective, and check out the Goblin starting area. I was 100% dead set on just race/faction swapping until I realized I'd be missing out on that stuff.
I do think the extra races are pointless, but I think the reason they're added is because, for one, people have had a hard on for Goblins since the game came out, and because this expansion really has a primary focus of encouraging people to reroll or make alts to see all the new content. Despite what people say, 80 - 85 is going to be OLD NEWS quick. 1 - 60 is going to be where the fun of the expansion lies, at least as near as I can tell. Although, people will be able to enjoy a majority of that content without Cataclysm... although I bet you'll need Cataclysm to enjoy the race/class combos they invented.
I think race change is very much the way to go if you have a pre-existing race in mind, and perhaps you're sick of being a Blood Elf Paladin or Draenei Shaman like everyone else on your faction.
Right now, as I stated, it's pretty much the following: Transfer my Warrior to another server and re-level my "bank" Warrior as my primary Warrior character. Recreate that Warrior as my Death Knight (I could've done it the other way around, but I need another character to level up from 1 - 60 with my friends/family so I don't sit around and wait a month or so for them to play catch up.) Then, my Dwarf Paladin is getting a server transfer as well to a server where I have friends who play Alliance whenever Cataclysm is about to hit. The end result is as follows:
I have a single alliance toon on Argent Dawn, I have a DK on Horde, I have a Goblin, the rest of my toons are Horde, I have a high level Horde and Alliance character on two different servers where I have friends who play, thus giving me an "easy street" access to playing with them if I ever feel the need without swapping over any of my primary AD characters.
Note: Not that lore matters to Blizzard nowadays, but I have a huge beef with the Night Elf Mage class combination. If Night Elves can be Mages, Blood Elves should be able to rock Druids.
Prediction: For the same cost as a Faction Switch (30 or 40 bucks?) we'll be able to pay to change classes once Cataclysm comes out. Therefore eliminating the need to learn your class or even bother making other characters.

Blizzard wont go that way, all you would retain would be the level.... all the spells would need to change as well as all the gear... which would cause so much problems for them.
It would be easier for blizzard to sell templated characters at level XX, and frankly when they start doing that... they kinda shoot themselves in the foot.

Well, yeah, you'd be in charge of buying all your spells/skills again, and you would also unequip all your armor and have it replaced by a default set of gear appropriate to your level tier, it doesn't scale with you but it's like starter armor for class changes.
It's a really dumb idea, but I can see it happening eventually.

Yes. Because I don't want to pay an extra 15 bucks a month or to spend 100+ bucks on expansions and such to play another character or two, haha.
I'd rather shell out the money and server transfer, and then if slots are ever allotted, server transfer back if I miss the characters that badly. But, considering I'll already have two characters that fill both those class roles... probably not.

Drall - Orc Warrior
Razjii - Troll Hunter (and GM of the guild I started day 1)
Kravoc - Blood Elf DK
Brentah - Tauren Druid
Adelhide - Wife's pally that she never playes, and I get bored of leveling such a crappy class.
I'll probably create a goblin mage just to mess around with a pure caster class, and enjoy PvP godlyness. I can go around hiding in terrain exploits and blowing people up, like that gnome mage barnabus that I used to go out of my way to kill every time I saw him.
Speaking of eve, I did actually start up my old accounts. Never really got up the desire to do anything, and just sorta putz'd around selling my stocks of items that had been sitting unused. I did start giving away assests to old corpies, so if anybody wants anything let me know.

Drall - Warrior

A year or so ago I messed around with multi-boxing for a couple of months. I guess you weren't playing WOW at the time because we had 5 Het warlocks running around doing stuff. The technical challenge of making it all work was more enjoyable than actually playing though so I gave it up.
I still don't have enough characters to worry about having to delete or transfer any of them. At least not enough higher-level ones that I care about.

Yeah that guy seemed like a real douche every time he turned up in the BGs. Mostly it was just incredibly aggravating not knowing where he was until the face-melting fireball was already headed your way.

BARNALBY!! I hate that guy. I don't think there was ever an encounter with him that I felt good about when it was over.

As far as I know I think I'm the only Fang that is playing. Even then I'm not playing as I should. Tan my industrial/trade alt has been working on building up enough ISK reserves to be able to keep that account and my main account going with PLEX. It takes a while to get that ball rolling when you have to start from nothing as a trade alt. I don't remember your Eve Character names that you gave me so I'll just give you mine again.
Lucro Maximus - Senex Legio (Get Off My Lawn)
Tan Morgulion - Haus Blueprint Industries (Get Off My Lawn)
Hopefully you can catch me in game. Maybe we can hook up somewhere and go harass some gate camping pirates.

If I remember right I have a fairly large amount of ISK on at least one of my pilots that there's almost zero chance I'll use again. Is it worth it for me to figure out a way to get that to you guys? Should be easy enough to reactivate with a PLEX or something like that.
