I hear ya Zink, I've been feeling kind of bleh about mmo's lately as well. The whole Warhammer thing has me bummed out on them as a whole. That is 2 franchises that I really love turned into crapfests for mmos. Star Wars was the first.

I really really hope they don't screw up KOTOR MMO that is in the works.  After the turd that Mythic made with Warhammer it's doubtful I'm going to ever jump in with both feet again on an MMO.  I'll let them simmer for a little bit and see where they stand after 6 months or so.

FUCK YEAH it does.  Motherfuckers better recognize!  Need to make another post on the main boards.

I hope those who are in the process of developing a game that is supposed to be PVP-centric will read that article and learn from DAoC. I noticed they said they were suprised that no other game has used the 3 team system and instead has only had 2 teams which tend to cause population imbalances. It is such a simple mechanic that has solved so many problems in DAoC. I remember on my old server, Palomides where I played Albion, we outnumbered the Mids and Hibs but when they formed Hibgard and started coordinating via voice chat then the game became a whole lot more interesting and fun for everybody. Nothing could be done about Argent Dawn's 4 to 1 ratio between Alliance and Horde though...
